Meeting time in Stewart Hall – 10:00 AM, except for December and June – 10:30 AM.  Our December meeting includes a carry-in luncheon, and we go out to lunch after our June meeting.

  • Sept. 17  The Lake House by Kate Morton  

    • This is about an eleven-month-old child, Theo, who vanishes without a trace after his family held a huge party on their lakeside estate in Cornwall, England.  
       

  • Oct. 15    Women Rowing North:  Navigating Life’s Currents and Flourishing As We Age by Mary Pipher  

    • The author explores ways that women can cultivate responses to the challenges they face as they grow older, such as ageism, misogyny, and loss.
           

  • Nov. 19    The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood  

    • When one reads this book, one can imagine how it might happen.  It is unique, shocking, and thought-provoking.

    • This is a truly inspiring memoir about how a young woman from rural Idaho, having no formal education, earns a doctorate from Cambridge.

    • The true story of Alexander Hamilton and the Treasury Department he originated.
           

  • Apr. 21    The Feast of Love by Charles Baxter  

    • This book is about all kinds of love told through stories by a man who has love struggles himself and looks around him at the struggles of his neighbors.
          

  • May 19  Lost in Shangri-La by Mitchell Zuckoff  

    • This is a true story about a plane that crashes into a caveman like tribe that had never been discovered before.
                 

  • June 16    Then She Was Gone by Lisa Jewell  

    • Ellie Mack, a perfect teenager loved by all, suddenly disappears just as her summer vacation was beginning.
